Prisoner

The prisoner was a sickly man with grey hair and a long beard. He had been in prison for many years, and he was starting to lose hope. One day, a new maid came to work in the prison. She was a young woman with a kind heart, and she immediately took pity on the prisoner. She began to bring him food and water, and she would often sit with him and talk to him. The prisoner was grateful for her kindness, and he began to open up to her. He told her about his life before he was imprisoned, and she listened attentively. The maid was a talented artist, and she began to draw pictures of the prisoner. She would draw him sitting in his cell, or walking in the prison yard. The prisoner was touched by her drawings, and he began to feel a connection with her. One day, the maid told the prisoner that she was going to help him escape. She had arranged for a guard to let him out of his cell, and she would be waiting for him outside. The prisoner was overjoyed. He had never expected to be free again. He waited until the guard came, and then he slipped out of his cell. The maid was waiting for him, and she led him to a waiting carriage.
